Medical Billing Coordinator


Location

Huntsville, AL

Description

Take calls from incoming patients and answer their questions regarding their medical billing statements
Communicate effectively with our client medical practices regarding day-to-day billing tasks
Post patient and insurance payments
Work audit trails
Contact insurance companies in order to follow up on unpaid/rejected insurance claims
Generate patient statements and process for mailing

Requirements

2-3 years of medical billing experience
In-depth knowledge of the process involving insurance follow up and working rejections
Able to work independently with little supervision
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and use of the internet and email
Pleasant and professional speaking voice
Excellent customer service skills a must!

Description

OCERIS, Inc is based in Huntsville, AL and is seeking professionals to market it's practice management and electronic medical records software in addition to it's medical billing services to private practices nationwide.

All entry-level sales positions are part-time and commission only, but could turn into full time based on the salesperson's volume in the first 6-12 months. This home-based opportunity is a growth position for the right candidate. Those with previous medical billing, medical office management, pharmaceutical or medical supply sales experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Prospect medical practices for new leads
Provide information about FlexMedical and its services
Give medical software demonstrations either remotely or onsite
Generate proposals for medical software purchase (software license pricing, training, etc)
Coordinate software implementation efforts between medical practices and our home office
Communicate weekly progress with VP of Sales
Represent FlexMedical at medical technology tradeshows and networking events
Research competitors in territory

Desired Skills

Previous outside sales experience with a proven track record a plus
Comfortable with prospecting/cold calling physicians/practice managers either in person or over the telephone
Knowlege of medical billing/clinical operations helpful
Self motivated and able to work independently with little supervision, but open to direction from home office
Familiar with use of internet, email, Skype, and MS Office
Basic understanding of IT/networking
Have access to a PC and high speed internet connection
Reliable transportation
